Commentary
Das Inschriftfeld ist in mehrere aneinanderpassende Fragmente zerbrochen. Das Monument galt nach seiner Auffindung zunächst wieder als verschollen, wurde jedoch im Innenhof des Schlosses von Petronell-Carnuntum 2010/2011 wiederentdeckt, als Spolie im Fundament der Feststiege. Zwischen Bild- und Inschriftfeld zerschlagen. Oberhalb des Inschriftfeldes Bildfeld der Reitergrabstele, Reiter mit Lanze sprengt über gestürzten Gegner, links Calo. (B): Z. 2: Vorbeck: Cresce(n)s; Z. 5: CIL 03, 04466; ILS: a[lae ei]usd(em); Lőrincz: a[ lae ei]us[dem]; Vorbeck: a[lae ei]us[dem]; Z. 6: CIL 03, 04466: h(eres) [e(ius)] f(ecit), in der Zeichnung jedoch 'H F F' wiedergegeben; ILS: h.
