Commentary
Die Inschrift befindet sich auf den vier Seitenfeldern des altarförmigen Untersatzes einer Bronzeschalte. Flankiert von vier Adlern an den Ecken, darüber vier Delfine, die den Ring zur Aufnahme der Schale tragen. Schreibtechnik: gepunzt. Alternative Lesung Z. 8 nach Kremer - Römer-Martijnse: Mesium; M(a)esium.
