Die heutige Kirche stammt aus den Jahren 1914 bis 1917 und wurde auf Basis einer älteren von 1576 errichtet. Daneben wurden die Fragmente einer frühchristlichen Basilika aus dem Ende des 5. Jahrhunderts für ca. 200 Gläubige freigelegt. Im google maps Satellitenbild/streetview zu erkennen:
